Been tinkering with Arduino and breadboards and now with Mobiflight.
I have made a few test set-ups from the tutorials, and it works alright. But having difficulty in imaging how it would look like when building the connections in a real cockpit panel.
I mean the breadboard, the battery holder, the Arduino, they all lay on my desk, neatly next to each other. But that's very different from connecting them to actual switches and lights in the back of my panel.
I cannot imagine plugging the tiny wires into the breadboard(s) and streaming them from one end to the other. So what is needed ? Soldering them, bundling? Replacing the breadboard with a more sturdy connection?
Anybody has photos to help me visualize what it would look like in a ' production environment' as opposed to the tutorial test setup ?
Grateful for your help !!
I'll take some pictures when I get home, but here is what I have done:
1. Printed the Arduino Mega Mount (at bottom of page)

2. Bought these from amazon that attach to the top of the arduino:

Its a nice neat way to work on these. I'll be using these when I wire up my OEM audio panels in my pedestal here next week hopefully.
Thanks Jason. Interesting !!! Been trying to find those ' screw' connectors to put on the Mega, but so far not much luck here in Italy.....
How about this? It is a mount and everything all in one for 50 euros.

I bought a couple of these from aliexpress, really cheap and cover every pin. The connectors make wiring easy too
