Cockpit shell mockup...

A couple of weeks ago Wayne and I were able to get the cardboard cockpit shell cut and assembled.  I cut, Wayne assembled. :)





If you change the file name to end in "-lg.jpg", you can see the huge versions of the pictures.

This design will be built using rib & stringer framing with 1/8" hardboard skin.

Also, due to thermal cracking found in the screen, we're going to go for broke and build a plug mold to build a new screen from fiberglass.  We'll only need two of them (one to replace mine and one for Wayne), but I think it'll be worth it in the long run.  We'll carve the new screen plug on the 'bot.
