Ha Ralph!!
Two nuts are better than one!
( Squirrel verse Chapt 3)

I cant get the backlighting to work with mine
the two top connectors +3 and 4
drive the pointer , 2 and 1 should be for the lighting??

Ps can you check with Mark if we can have an XML for that one and other gauges only going from zero to preset value (like APU EGT, Oxy presure etc)

I actually took the the gauge apart, traced the gauge and backlight wiring, (two wires for Gauge, 2 for backlighting), then sawed the gauge in half so that it would fit into the Overhead, but made sure that the front half still worked :-)

I'll check on an XML.

Cheers

Hey Mau
Stuff to confirm your analysis

The backlighting on the mini valve gauge did not work, 2 hours of surgery with twizzers and magnifier were necessary to remove 2 corrupted  grain of wheat bulbs with adjoining circuitry and implant new items held by pinpoint soldering....pheww
:D

One step further.
Hanging that heavyweight without help (dog refused getting involved) requires some careful planning, but all set now.  The shell is  well engineered , all catches were perfectly lined up.
I powered the IBL and sat in front of it for a while....(making engine start noises)

Yep, I'm really 'impressed'....a micro gauge with a lighted micro dial. This should go a long way into making your flying experience more realistic. But wait...you're not flying yet. I wonder why?  ;D

Excellent! I'll cash in my RRSP's and get it since I won't need RRSP's when they commit me to a mental institution.

Dadum-tidum...

Well, I know where you & all one inch gauge customers belong anyway ... in a padded cell with a few airplane knobs & switches to keep you occupied  ;D

Give me some knobs, some paint and a paintbrush - and Katie Melua on my iPod - and you can save the padding. :D
Oh, and check this out:

Now THAT is padding material! :D

If you understand what I'm talking about, my padded casa es su padded casa!

Hey Vidarf,
I love when someone goes down to that level of detail.
Nice job
