Instructor Station - Luis Gordo

ISLOGO

What is Instructor Station ?

In flight simulation, an Instructor Operator Station (IOS) is designed to assist the instructor in controlling the simulation training environment and monitoring all aspects of pilot/crew performance in the simulator. The instructor can control, via this software, all functions such as aircraft position and systems, meteorological, environmental, and situational parameters.

The Instructor Station is meant to assist Aviation Professionals, Flight Simulation Enthusiasts and Home Cockpit Builders using Microsoft® Flight Simulator (FS) 2004™, FSX™ and ESP™, Lockheed Martin Prepar3D® and X-Plane®.

The Instructor Station allows setting the aircraft on an approach to a runway of choice under any weather conditions, start-up and shutdown network computers (fully customizable), program or set aircraft system failures at any moment, calculate the amount of fuel required for a flight and load it to the aircraft, record flight performance (approaches, manoeuvres, landings, take-offs, etc.) and plot it graphically, and many other things!

Compatible with all types of aircraft! It is also a great tool for anybody who wants to control the flight simulator externally.

Many features are also available for Project Magenta users (pmSystems, Glass Cockpit, CDU/MCDU, MCP/FCU), AST & FMGS JeeHell users.

Developed by a pilot, engineer & flight simulation enthusiast.

Dear Luis,

I have bought the latest release of instructor station. My intention is to use it through a client pc to be connected with server pc (fsx and fsx steam) and to use it with c172. I am facing two problems. The first problem is that when in failures section in panel failures some failures are working but some other are not. For example I tick the vacuum but nothing happens. How I can fix this? Maybe to change the aircraft.cfg? Second problem is about weather. In fsx I have dynamic weather setting to off and also to fsuipc I have disable all weather settings to off. Then I want inside instructor station in advance tab to change the barometric. If for example I change from the default 1013 to 1024 and then I press the set button then inside fsx nothing happens. I am not running in global weather but in local icao. Many thanks in advance.

Hi there,

Sorry for the late response.  Per Pete Dowson's documentation, the vacuum system failure offset is not operable in FSX:

3BE6 Vacuum (Not writable – SimC?)

This is simply not supported via FSUIPC.  That being said, there is an option to toggle vacuum system failure, which can be explored (not the best way of actuating things in FSX, but sometimes the only way around).  I will look into this and possibly find a workaround for the next release.

With respect to barometric pressure, it has been reported before that the FSX engine wont change this variable alone.  Something else needs to be changed (ie clouds, wind, etc.) for the pressure change to take effect.  Again, this appears to be an FSX limitation.

Hope it helps.

Luis
