Looking for a real Boeing 737 TQ. Located in Tennessee. :)
737 classic or NG?
Either. I'm building an NG cockpit but I'd take a classic.
Not my thread sorry, but navymustang - I've sent you a PM.
Still looking. Thanks!
Dang nothing at all?
good luck Justin, they are like gold. Many people hunting for them.
Have you tried the dismantlers? Hundreds of 737 retired over the past 5 years

Thanks Scott! Seems that way. I think I've seen your videos on youtube.

I have not. Do they have a website?
Hi Justin,
I have a real 737-300 (I think its a 300) TQ that I can probably sell you. I bought it a few years back and the process of converting it is now a fantasy. It was removed somewhat haphazardly in that they basically cut it off about 6 inches above the floor. I can send pics tomorrow. I live in Colorado.
Cheers
Keith

There are quite a few out there. Google aircraft dismantlers, visit their websites and pick which ones sound best to get in contact with.
Gary
Edit.... Alot of simbuilders have wasted these companies time over the years so dont be surprised if you need to pick up a phone and actually talk to someone.
Keith! That would be great. I sent an email to your yahoo address on your profile.
Thanks!

Funny - about 5 years ago I bought mine from 737-200 on eBay for $1000 - nobody was interested.
Lucky! Seems like they are pretty hard to find now days.
Only if your waiting for one to fall on your lap.

He already has a line on one from a scrapper in the USA. It's all in who you know and who you call. ;)
Here's hoping Rob. We will still see how it pans out!

Justin,
Maybe you need to put some kind of detail, like cost and quality you expect.

Out of curiosity, why does it need to be an OEM TQ?
Have you contacted Nick at APHS and asked if he can source one?

Fyi- i regularly speak with Nick and TQs are about the rarest of items right now. Just nothing available.

No worries, I just want that real feel. Yeah I've contacted Nick a few times and nothing.
"Fyi- i regularly speak with Nick and TQs are about the rarest of items right now. Just nothing available"
Nick couldn't get a 747-400 throttle quad if his life depended on it yet most 747-400 builders have one. Not the most reliable source for parts, so I would take that with a grain of salt.
No offense intended just "RARE" facts ;D
Offence taken Gary......Nick is a friend so I would appreciate if you keep comments like that to yourself or your own personal experience Gary. In addition we were talking about a 737 TQ, not 747. He has been able to get me most of what I needed for my build and many others over the years.
Scott
Still lookin!
Looks like I might have to go with a cockpit for you throttle. This is looking to be like a unicorn!
Build the rest of the cockpit first and look another year at least. It will be worth it.
Kurt you are so wise. Thank you! Haha. It's easy to get impatient.
At this point i'd take a Cockpitforyou v3 Gold TQ.
Wouldn't we all!!!! ;D ;D
Found an FSC.it throttle on ebay
if you are buying the real tq are you getting the "other" vits thst go with it or just the housing and TQ levers
I didn't buy a real one. This is a replica but 100% metal and from a company called FSC.it. From what the guys here said though you should make sure it comes with everything if you want to convert it to sim use
So My throttle quadrant purchase on ebay went south. I ended up having to send it back because it wasn't what I wanted. Let me know if there's anything out there. I'm not finding anything.
bump
Justin
It took me over two years to find one and it was not on this site either!

Has anyone purchased the FSC TQ ?

If so, what's the product like and what's the company like to deal with ?
Thanks
It is interesting to note that on their web site add for this TQ, they don't mention that the throttle levers are motorized. Perhaps an oversight on their part.
And if they are, is each engine on a separate motor?
Is the thrust reverse a full on and full off or graduated?
Are the faceplate's back lit for night operation?
Are the trim wheel full size?
Just things missing in the add but I would hope are there.
Justin,
Contact UAM, if you really want a real one, but it'll cost you...pretty much the only way of getting one beyond after market types.
Good Luck,
John
Hey John.
Do you have a website or contact info for UAM?

Thanks Jack :idiot:

Sorry to post this again, but has anyone had any experience with this company?
Before starting my sim build I want to make sure that I can buy a descent motorized TQ and dual linked flying controls.
It doesn't appear that there are many reliable companies that do them. They all look dodgy and have a lot of mixed opinions, like cockpitforyou or ACE.
Thanks.

In reference to a good dual linked flight controls, I've done a lot of hunting online for pro's and con's of known suppliers of 737 dual linked flight controls.
I chose a new manufacturer out of Russia known in the community named Denis Permyakov. Yokes are in perfect sync fwd, aft, right & left, unlike the slight lag I have seen in videos of other suppliers. He has the Boeing specs sheets so it has the correct pitch forward in neutral, full right & left bank and so on, as well as the correct amount of pressure needed to move it.
I was lucky enough to find a set of real yokes & columns, and after some tinkering, was able to fit it on his linkage....and walla! I actually just finalized it all together today (see quick pic I took earlier today), and couldn't be happier.
Let me know if you have questions.
Philip
Philip, what a great idea. Looks good and I imagine it will fly well.
Hi Philip,
It does look good.
How much did it cost and do you have any contact details, web site etc... ?

He offers a few options:
Dual Linked Motorized for $5,000
Dual Linked non motorized $3,360
Dual Linked Base only (you supply real columns & yokes, which is what I did) $1,900
I'm no mechanic by any means, but I was able to make adjustments to columns & yokes to make it work flawlessly on his base. Perfectly in sync, no lag. Very good detailed explanations given for adjustments needed.
Find him on Facebook messenger under Denis Permyakov, or his email region9696@gmail.com
He is also doing my J Rails, Clipboards 3 position as well.
Eventually I'll get his Dual Linked Rudder Pedals as it looks incredible.
Here is some quick pics I just took for more of an idea. I'm currently building the rest of the platform now. Putting 1/2 inch plywood on top, then 2mm or 3mm alumminum sheeting.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Dear Justin and All,
8 years ago, i sold many OEM parts and my website was www.flightsimparts.com (http://www.flightsimparts.com) , but unfortunately i stop the business due to at that time busy with the real flying job.
a little bit about me you can find here: http://www.cockpitbuilders.com/community/index.php?topic=706.msg5459#msg5459 (http://www.cockpitbuilders.com/community/index.php?topic=706.msg5459#msg5459)
This time, I will be starting again the business to supply OEM parts to cockpit builder. During the past few years i have collected all the parts and this was really really need extra effort, time and money.
I can supply Throttle quadrant, control colums, rudder, etc.
Due to this is about TQ, i'll show you some of my TQ and i will converted into Boeing 737NG style quadrant.
Fortunately, i got 1 OEM 737-900ER TQ that i use for replicating others OEM 737 to close to NG style.
I will do the conversions plus motorization.
You can see the preview of my 24 unit TQ ready for conversions.
I can be reached in email flyabsimparts (at) gmail.com
Best regards,
Arif
Wow! Never seen a real NG throttle before
