Title: Honeywell 737 ISDU Unit - Pinout for Canon Plugs
Post by: zillmer on November 15, 2018, 04:38:07 AM
Hi All,

I'm now the proud owner of a 20 year old, but unused, Honeywell ISDU unit for the 737 NG. Ideally I'd like to interface using ARINC, rather than ripping it to pieces and interfacing directly to the components.

Does anyone out there have, or know where I could get a pin-out diagram for the 2 canon plugs on the back of the unit.

Any help much appreciated.

regards

Simon.

Wire the pins as follows:

J1:
3 = Positive 28v
4 = Ground
9 = Connected to pin 11 for test function
10 = Positive 28v
24 = ARINC IN A
25 = ARINC IN B

J2:
3 = Positive 28v
4 = Ground
9 = Connected to pin 11 for test function
10 = Positive 28v

I highly recommend using a Cockpit Concept HS Arinc board.  Pretty much plug and play.  Works with Prosim or FSUIPC.

Heres a video of it in action with Prosim

Mick,

Thanks, really useful information. I've already settled on Cockpit Concepts as the way to go so good to see that it is working fine.

One question ; is the backlighting of the panels controlled through the ARINC connection? I was anticipating a separate sets of pins (+5V DC, ground and a switch) for that.

Regards

Simon.
