Title: Recipe_for_a_cheap_joystick_encoder.pdf
Post by: MattiasLind on December 13, 2018, 07:22:43 PM
Hello,

Anyone that have this pdf stored somewhere to share as the link to fredgolden.com doesnt work. I would appreciate that as my yoke system have a burnt board and I am looking in to either a Arduino or a Bodner board.

Thanks in advance
Mattias

Hi,
If its a cheap interface board that replicates a Bodnar board and you want to use an Arduino.
Then look here

What i am actually thinking of doing is to replace the curcuit board in a saitek yoke and throttle to either a bodnar or arduino. I found out how to do with a bodnar, but as the arduino is a bit cheaper i was trying to gather information for that too. I googled around and found a person been doing that with arduino, but i can not register on that site to get the pdf.

Just to give you some info, If you go with the Bodner, You get 12 bit resolution on your pot travel. 4096 steps. Most other boards are 8bit (Most) which should be half of that. Just letting you know.
