Dear all,

On 16th of January, I'm finally beginning to study for my PPL, that has been a dream for so long now. The flightschool is located about 20km from my resident and all classes are in the evenings. As you may know I have a daytime 7-5 job to go to besides Archen Simparts.

PPL will require a lot of time so I just wanna tell you guys that there might be slighly longer leadtimes for products that I don't have in stock in the upcoming 6 month.
Products that are not in stock can take up to 4 weeks I guess, depending on the workload on the PPL-study.

This information will also be available on my webshop of course.

Also my webshop is down for some maintanence, will be up again on Wednesday.

With that said I wanna take the opportunity to wish everyone a Happy new year!

Best regards,
Anders

Hello Anders,

Best wishes on the pursuit of getting a Private Pilot's License.  Follow that goal with getting your Instrument Rating, as it will be a rewarding experience - making your Private Ticket a lot more useful flying in Europe.

I have fond memories flying down the Rhine in a little Fuji two-seater, so I know that you will have great fun sharing your love of flying with family and friends.

Study hard, be safe, and enjoy drilling holes in the sky  :)

Thanks so much guys :) I'm really looking forward to this and have been for a very long time.

IR would indeed be the next step.

Will probably post a picture or two during training

Best wishes,
Anders

All the best to you Anders and Happy New year to the rest of you aviation nutters....  ;D

I completed my PPL in 1997 and as Issac said you will never forget your first solo. I remember the instructor saying pull up over there, after a particularly good afternoon's touch and go's. Then he got out and said enjoy yourself. That empty seat next to you is well weird. But the flight is embedded in my brain. including the rather nice congratulations from Cardiff Intl. ATC as I taxied to the stand afterwards.

You'll never regret it.  :)

Kind Regards
Joe.

Happy new year to all.

I wish you the best. Nothing like your first takeoff handling the rudder pedals yourself ( with
the instructor's assistance perhaps... ). That and your first solo, unforgettable.

Best of luck.

Joaquin.

I got my PPL in 1994 and all of the other folks are right! It is an unforgettable day in the life of a pilot. That day you look over at the empty right seat and realize what you've accomplished will be etched in your memory. I still have my cut out t-shirt hanging on my hallway wall. Awesome experience! Good luck to you and congrats on your decision.

archen

Guys,
I'm getting even more inspired when reading your posts. I'm really looking forward to my first solo. I hope I'll get down safe :D

Hey guys,
I've now successfully completed my PPL licence. On March 3rd I did my first flying lesson. Went solo on 1st of May. Theoretical exams was completed on 15th of June and checkride was done on 27th of June. As I wrote in January I was going in hard on this which resulted in no or very little time for other stuff.

Currently I have a couple of backorders and some shafts for existing customers to be made but I hope that I'll be back on track within 3 weeks and leadtimes should be normal again.

Thanks to all who have had patient with me. I appriciate it very much.

Best regards,
Anders

Congratulations Anders!  That is quite an accomplishment.  I know you are going to have a lot of fun drilling holes in the sky  ;D

Always keep in mind your primary training, and remember that flying is serious business.  Careful flight planning, diligent pre-flights, and good cockpit management are what will help you stay safe in the skies.  Your new pilot's license is in reality a license to learn as you continue to gain experience as a pilot.    Also, weather in your part of the world is a big factor, so consider working on getting an Instrument Rating.

Best wishes to you for the flying adventures that await you.

Keep your airspeed up!

Congratulations Anders.

Always fly safe, check your fuel and do not get complacent with weight and balance.
Flying is an exhilarating experience. If you think your first solo was a thrill, wait until you
get your instrument rating and fly your first ILS approach " in the soup " :).

Once again, congratulations.

Thanks so much guys for the congratulations and good advices. You really pointed out some good advices here.

I'll keep them in mind. One thing I love about aviation, like flight sim, you always learn new stuff and you are never finished learning.

Anders

My congrats, Anders!

I had my first solo back in 2003, it was carnival Monday and the date was 03-03-03, easy to remember.

Allways safe flights - one major fault, and you'll be dead for "the rest of your life"...
