Title: Resolution issues on Cockpitbuilders site
Post by: 727737Nut on September 20, 2011, 04:15:45 PM
Whenever I start a new topic or reply to a topic or respond to a personal message, the screen goes t a super wide view and I have to scroll accross the screen to see everything.  Wasn't like this before the attack on the site.  Any ideas?  I am using a laptop ay 1280 x800
Thanks,
Rob

This was only observed on one instance of firefox and it turned out to be on the users end.
If your using firefox, perhaps you could pm phil744 he corrected the issue somehow. Perhaps he could share that with you.

I had exactly the same problem with Chrome and it went away on its own (don't know exactly when). I may have logged out & logged back in but I'm not sure. All I know is that I did not change anything to fix it. Very strange.

Does it here too on Internet Explorer. Erratic, no big deal though.
Some heavy images tend to screw up format too.

Trevor pointed out to not use img tags but use attachments instead. Img tags don't seem to be able to resize like the used to but attachments resize fine. I wonder if the resize problem is another symptom of the sizing issue of the main layout.

Clear all history, cookies and stuff, then log back in, fixed the problem for me :)

I can confirm that fixed it. I tried that before and it didn't work. Must have changed something in the meantime.

Thanks Phil.
