Cheap Boeing style clocks

Here is a cheap way to get a Boeing style cockpit clock.  I bought this 3.5" TFT screen off ebay for about $30AUD.  You need a separate VGA output from your PC to hook it up but if you use Sim-A, PM or Flightdeck Software etc. you can run it from an old PC via your network.  However if you have enough video outputs from your main FS PC you could drag your PMDG clock to this screen and display it this way.  You will also need a VGA to composite converter to run it which I also bought for $30AUD.  All up $60 isn't too bad I reckon.  It's a little smaller than the real thing but if you're not too fussy about real sizing it could be an alternative.  The last image shows FSX running on the screen.

Nice idea Ken.

I am pretty green about these things but something in the back of my mind tells me that we should have matching screen resolutions to have the multi screens. I certainly have an issue when trying to connect another (old) dell monitor to my set up for the EICAS because the resolution is not as high as the others. I may have got this wrong but I have 3 NVIDIA GPU's in my box and this is an issue with them. If this is the case then the little monitors must match the rest of your set up.

If wrong - apologies - didn't mean to lead anyone up the garden path.

Hi Gary,

You can have different resolutions for your monitors, no problems.  This 3.5" screen is at 800 x 600 while my laptop is 1440 x 900.  Just set it up in Windows Display manager.

Ah, thanks Ken, I have been relying on the NVIDIA software too much. I will give that a whirl. Back to basics eh ?

Cheers mate.
