On a bit of a break from building for a couple months.

We moved into the new house and have been unpacking for a week, at least another month to go!  My daughter will be in through mid August and I'll be busy with her (that makes 5 kids in the house in the summer).

....and, we have a contractor working on the basement bar, bed, bath and custom home theater, as well as doubling the deck to 32' x 12'.  I have a ton of wiring to do pre drywall.  Bought a Middle Atlantic 5 foot equipment rack and have been collecting gear for the theater.  So far we have:

138" Elite Cinemascope 2.35:1 fixed frame screen
Panasonic AE4000 Projector
NAD T747 Receiver
Sherwood Newcastle A965 7 channel amp
Onkyo RC160 (for Bar and outside deck zones)
2U rack mount Sever case for an i3-2100 / H67 HTPC
HP Media Smart Server with 5.5TB storage
APC S15 Power Conditioner and Battery Backup
Elemental Designs A2-300 Sub
Magnepan MMGC Center Channel
(4) Magnepan MMGW surrounds
(9) Angela Plus Rocker Theater seats (front row 4, back 5)

Still need to grab the front speakers, torn between used Magnepan 1.6's or new MMG's.  Also need an Oppo 93 BluRay and another sub.

Still need the under bar fridge and a Kegerator as well.  Bar will seat 7 and have a 50" Plasma above it :)  Wife said we had to Paint it Chicago Bears colors (the room, not the bar).

Going to have the builder construct my Sim wrap around screen and platform while he's there too.
Should be back to building in late August.....
Less than 4 years to retirement......

LOL ... You're a big dreamer John. You'll be unpacking for the next year or so at the very least.

Very wise move to get the builder to build your curved screen. Anything that speeds up a project is a good thing, but the fantastic home theater on the other hand is a double-edged sword. On one hand, it will keep your wife & kids out of your hair when you are building and on the other hand, too much tempation to just sit there & relax with a good movie  :)

Anyway, this must be a very exciting time for you. Enjoy the ride.
