Hi all,
Another milestone accomplished over the holiday weekend.  Spent many hours thinking, adjusting, calculating, etc; LOL  Result, real Altimeter working perfect with the Sim using a stepper turning an external synchro to send the altitude signal to the altimeter.  It is controlled by a Teensy via an arduino sketch.  It is dead on accurate in speed of response, and accuracy.  Short video showing level off at 31K ft   The 732 always overshoots a little then settles back but I cut the end of the video off to save space.
Any questions feel free to ask.

All I can say is wow! If I only had the patience for this. I would love a couple steam gauges in my 73!

Thats outstanding! We never got to the Radar altimeters on the Jenson 372, that will be a sweet feature.
