Volume control with hotkeys

Hi
My intercom unit is fed ATC via a USB FlightSoundX sound card.  This card is not set as my primary communication device as the primary needs to be set for FSX sounds.
I would like a way to program hotkeys to control the volume of this card (perhaps later map it to some hardware) so I can easily increase/decrease the VATSIM ATC volume without having to get out of the Sim and go to my main PC screen.

I have found some utilities that allow you to map volume control to hotkeys, but they only seem to work on the currently selected default sound device.  I am hoping someone has a tip on how to do this for a specific sound card?
