Picked this up for my self as an early birthday present. It's NEVER been installed in a plane, Brand new!  I already have it apart and have began the interfacing process. It will function just like the real one with the help of SIOC

Very nice unit...congrats!
I think Michael worked on that too some time ago and that some parts were really tough to get to...just from memory, ??
I still cant get the pic on the post (little red cross)

That's the Mk V model. Mine is the earlier Mk IV, but they function nearly the same. Mine has a Heading Select switch next to the Altitude Hold, but other than that they are nearly identical.

I had to install a detector switch for the pitch control on the roll/pitch knob. I couldn't get any signal through the original and never figured out why since I don't have the schematic for the unit.

Nice find and getting harder to come by.

A simple way to wire this for the 24vdc solenoids is to run the power for the solenoids through the AP disconnect switch on the yoke and take one set of contacts from the Elevator hold switch and use it to cancel the AP in the program. This way, all the fuctions from the AP flip off when you push the button to interupt 24vdc to the solenoids, and FS also sees the AP flip off in the program from the elevator hold.
Why yes...I am a rocket scientist...

Very nice indeed! Might want to talk to Mike he has already interfaced that AP in his cockpit. Sperry if I re call correctly....
