Post by: Trevor Hale on October 09, 2018, 07:44:46 AM
Let me know if you can access it and if you can't.
Seems it in unreachable from some areas and I am trying to identify where to report back to ACH.

Made my donation....no problem!

But Note: Be sure that the salutation field (Mr., Mrs., etc) is filled in on the donation page along with all other starred (*) requirements.  If it is not, and you click "Next" it appears like a dead link.  That is, there is no warning to go back and fill in the required boxes as most times you would see.  Nothing happens.  I finally figured that out when I scrolled back up to the top of the page that was hidden and noticed I did not have "Mr." entered.

Worth to point that all that out I think.  It is too easy to get frustrated and give up.

Looks great~!

A few little cosmetic issues:

1. I'd move the donate button up into the textbox to the left of the image. Right under this last sentence: "the kids at John Hopkins All Childrens hospital." That way users don't have to do any scrolling. Minor impediments to a page's goal can add up.

2. Is there any way to scrunch the textboxes closer together on the pages where you enter your info / CC number? It feels cartoonish, and there's a lot of scrolling involved if something is in error.

3. If possible, I'd do away with the "Salutation" textbox. (Or at least make it a non-required field.

The goal is to make these pages as stupid-simple as possible. Minimize the scrolling required to fill out a page, and place buttons in areas that don't need to be scrolled to.

Rule of thumb: If you have to scroll to a critical page element, it's in the wrong place.

Other than that, the process is simple and looks good.

Guys,
Thanks for the input..  For reference, we have no control over any of the credit card form or donation form itself...  All I have control over is the front page, and very little control over that to begin with.  The template is provided.  They do this to ensure the use of their logo's etc is proper.  The hospital sets up the rest.
I am just concerned because the links dead for me, I can't get to it from work or home..
Something very strange.
I will update the totals when I get access to the page again.
Thanks,
Trev
