Not to go off topic but how are you going to re-cert  these parts that have lost trace?

Right behind the main spar in the center of the floor theres a few hoses with a distributor valve, thats for the de-ice system. And right behind that theres a little motor with 4 cable drives that come out of it.  I would be intrested in the motor and the pressure switch on the de-ice system.

Or if you want, take a picture/s of things that are under there. I can pass it on to my parts dept and they might buy a few things off of you if its needed. As Ive been told we have the largest Beech 99 inventory in the USA.

I am going to have to say that I think what your after may already have been pillaged. There is a bunch of hydraulic lines disconnected with all the blue connectors off of what looked like were valves at one time.

The pics show lots of dirt. But there is still lots of stuff in here. Looks mostly electrical though.

I am sure they would just have to be sent somewhere to have them tested and recertified. This stuff is so rare. The cost to decertify is better then not having them at all.

Glad to see you're back into it. Been a long time since any updates...

Would love sometime to fly out to the great white north and help out!

Trevor Hale

Would love to have you Ray. Just don't think winter is a good time for any of my southern friends to visit. I hate the cold and I live here lol.

Minus 25°C (-13F) this morning in the YUL region , imagine up north in Trevor's Land!!

Well , looking at your latest picture is certainly sobering for whoever wants to engage in converting a real shell...tons of patience to clean and remove things.
I suspect it is worth the effort once done, and trim reinstalled!
Great project!

LOL Jack,

You will see the progress after this weekend.  I hope to have at least one side of the passenger compartment completed by the end of day Saturday and possibly start the other side Sunday.

Its not a quick process thats for darn sure, and anyone making the decision to go down this path needs to be prepared to make some concessions.  For instance, Looking at passenger seats, unless you want to spend $400.00 per seat for Mutilated ones on ebay, I will be building my own.

Real aircraft parts on ebay, are just way overpriced.  You would think the sellers would get tired of relisting items over and over again.  Apparently not LOL.

I may have a local source  for airliner seats. (ultra cheap)
I suppose you have size limitations
let me know the specs .

Well, we have your airframes newer brother U-159, and much much younger U-10

Trevor Hale

Thats awesome...  U-159 would have been the next one off the production line.   That's really cool.  You would probably be pretty sad to see her all cut up, but to be honest she will likely live longer as a sim then she would have sitting on the edge of a field somewhere stripped down to nothing.

Thanks for sharing.

Trevor Hale

Ok, dude. Your nuts :) ha ha  that's incredible. That is like real cae sim quality. I applaud you for that. That is amazing. Honestly that has to be the biggest home sim I have ever seen. I would love to see some more detailed pics of that.

Freggen cool.

Whenever I get frustrated I will just look at that picture and it will remind me how bad it could be if I had to troubleshoot that lol.

Morning everyone.

Finished with the initial covering of the shell last night. It's amazing the complex angles around the overhead.  Next is to trim and fill out the windows and Frames and then begin the faux leather coverings.

Still a lot has been accomplished in the last week

Hi Guys.

Been busy adding the leather to the Pit. I have also Built the passenger "1st Class" seats which I will post pics of as soon as I get the cushions covered.  Just thought I would dump my updates here for you all to see. Please keep in mind I have no upholstery experience and although some of you likely could have done a better job I am happy with the results.
