Instructor Station - Luis Gordo

ISLOGO

What is Instructor Station ?

In flight simulation, an Instructor Operator Station (IOS) is designed to assist the instructor in controlling the simulation training environment and monitoring all aspects of pilot/crew performance in the simulator. The instructor can control, via this software, all functions such as aircraft position and systems, meteorological, environmental, and situational parameters.

The Instructor Station is meant to assist Aviation Professionals, Flight Simulation Enthusiasts and Home Cockpit Builders using Microsoft® Flight Simulator (FS) 2004™, FSX™ and ESP™, Lockheed Martin Prepar3D® and X-Plane®.

The Instructor Station allows setting the aircraft on an approach to a runway of choice under any weather conditions, start-up and shutdown network computers (fully customizable), program or set aircraft system failures at any moment, calculate the amount of fuel required for a flight and load it to the aircraft, record flight performance (approaches, manoeuvres, landings, take-offs, etc.) and plot it graphically, and many other things!

Compatible with all types of aircraft! It is also a great tool for anybody who wants to control the flight simulator externally.

Many features are also available for Project Magenta users (pmSystems, Glass Cockpit, CDU/MCDU, MCP/FCU), AST & FMGS JeeHell users.

Developed by a pilot, engineer & flight simulation enthusiast.

:o Hi Luis. In the beginning, after Istation was installed, registered and running, I could save the recorded data and re-open it for later exporting to a KML file. Lately, iStation keeps saying the files are not readable when I try to load them again. Any Advice on correcting these again?

luisgordo

Dear Sir,

This feature is working properly in the latest version of iStation.  What version are you running?

Best regards,
Luis

Hi Luis,
The About Box says 2.0.1.0.

It use to work in the beginning, but now it gives the error. If I open the data files in Word it is a lot of numbers separated by spaces.

Kind Regards,

luisgordo

psjvent,

You are using the latest iStation version.  Is this working for you already?

Please check that you have your PC's regional settings with "." for decimal place.  Otherwise you may expect some funky behaviour with DAT files.

Hi Luis,

Checked again and the decimalis a ".". Also, this lates version is the only one I have had installed since the beginning, thus no change at all.

Could it perhaps be from a windows update that was done since the initial install?

Kind Regards,

Pieter Venter

Hi Pieter,

If you are trying to open .DAT files from a previous iStation version (i.e. 1.X), these will not be readable by the 2.X version.

Check whether this might be the issue.  Feel free to PM or email me for speedier response.

Best regards,

Hi Luis,

Sorry for coming back now only. Had to sort out a broken throttle quadrant first before taking to the air again.

I've never had any other version before this version of iStation. Still to date I could not sour out the voice control either. But for now I need to resolve data file issue. Even with the latest version I record a few seconds, save it, and when trying to open it thereafter, it tells me it cannot read the file. Regrettably no change yet.

Kind Regards,
Pieter.

Hi Pieter,

Please send me your .DAT file so I can have a look. luisgordo(at)gmail.com

I have exactly the same problem.
2 hours ago I saved a data file and was able to re-open it 2 minutes later.
Since then I have done nothing except shut down the computer (while I had dinner) then re-started it - no updates just normal startup.

I have tried to load previous data files to see if thie one saved was corrupt but none will open.
Most other functions seem to be working normally.

Folks, send me your DAT files.  I dont know what may be wrong, but all the tests I have carried out so far show the feature works perfectly.
I can test with your DAT files to see what the problem may be.
