Title: New 777 builder!
Post by: JohannesG on October 23, 2019, 05:10:00 PM
Hi guys! I am going to be building a 777 cockpit. I will build everything myself and will use project magenta. I am planning on using a 2 projector system for the visuals, also i am hoping to be able to use only 1 pc.

Welcome!

Lots of smart folks here.  Marco had a 777 as I recall.

I currently run a 2 PJ setup, moving to 3 shortly.  The blend line drives me nits.  With the slightest movement including heat from the projector the overlap areas will continue to move out of alignment over a short period of time requiring you to re calibrate the warp or look at a fuzzy, double image picture in the center

Welcome, and congrats on your 777 build! It's an absolutely beautiful aircraft and a joy to build. I use 1 PC and a laptop with a Matrox TH2G to run the avionics. I suspect I'll upgrade machines for MSFS 2020 :-) Key to building the T7 yourself is to plan very carefully and thoroughly. If you have Autodesk Fusion 360 or Google sketchup, you can plan how everything will fit together.
