Hi everybody....
I have a very big problem....
Using FS9 with level-d
i'm using cdu of Opencockpit (s-video) with a nvidia 5600 card and it works
fine!!!
and now i'm setting the CDU screen as a dula view.
Now I'd like to buy a new pc with a newer graphig card (I was thinking about a
gtx 560)
but it has not the tv-out connector.....
I'd like to try a convertor from dvi to vga and than to svideo but I read that
the nvidia card that have not embodied the svideo connector do not support that
kind of conversor
I think the only way I can do is to install on the new pc both the new graphig
card and tha old (the one I'm using now) but I'm not sure it will work fine
I mean I don't know if it's possible to use both the video card togheter so to
use the gtx 560 as primary card for FS9 and at the same time use the 8600 for
the cdu video...
did you try the converter from opencockpit????
please help me I really don't know what to do and I'm afraid to spend money for
a new Pc and not be able to use my cdu
thank you
Giacomo
I run a G310 PCIe card and a 9500GT PCI card for my four outputs no problem.
Check to make sure you have the correct slots available for your old card (i.e. and AGP card won't work).
My othe PC has 3 PCIe slots and 2 PCI, plenty of spots for multiple cards.
I think this ASUS - P6X58D-E (X58) USB3.0 SATA6Gb - DDR3-1.65v SOCKET 1366
or this ASUS
P7P55D-E/PRO (P55) SATA3 + USB3.0 - DDR3 SOCKET 1156
could be fine
I use a usb to vga and a small scan converter from ebay.
It works very well with the oc cdu and saves upgrading the pc

Hi Steve..
could be so gentle to specify better what are you using...I'm really interest about what you said
thank you
Giacomo
I have a few of these http://www.evga.com/products/prodlist.asp?switch=10
Much cheaper ones on the B Stock page near the bottom ($29ish)

Finally my new pc arrived, I decided to install two video card
a gtx560 for the main video and my old 8600 GT for the CDU
on my old pc the CDU with the 8600 GT worked perfectly connected via a single cable s-video to rca
but now evenif the card is the same and the drivers are new the image is black & white and really flickering.
I tried any solution of signal and refresh rate but nothing changed!!!
I'm thinking to buy the converter from OC....
but I'm afraid to waste money....
any suggestion????
You tried switching from PAL to NTSC and visa versa? That usually resolves that problem.
Scott
Yes ..the same thing told me the OC support staff but nothing changes!!!
