One thing I found out recently is that the ATR 72 used old fashioned fly by wire... As in you turn the wheel and it yanks a wire. When a 72-500 had a problem with icing it caused an eddy over the wing which actually lifted the aileron up and the pilots struggled to counter it.

This has me thinking that I really should plan to make the controls force feedback... But it's also going to mean making the linkages a lot stronger than the plastic piping I was going to use.

So has anyone added force feedback into their sims? Most of you are using computerised fly-by-wire so it's not as likely I would have thought... But GA aircraft should do so as the faster you go the more force is added to the control surfaces.

Yet another thing that I never thought about... Damn that National Geographic Aircraft Disasters program heh.

Great stuff... Will need to be adapted for a control column but that is going to be my 2012 project for sure.
