Hi Everyone,
I am retired from the Canadian Armed Forces, and work as a Security Guard part time. I have been simming since the late nineties, but it was with all the classic combat flight sims of the era. I became involved with the civilian side when FS9 came out, and then moved on to FSX.
I usually fly WWII bombers such as the B17, B25, and the older props such as the Connie. I also like to fly Helos, and the F18 as well. I started building a Generic enclosed cockpit in March of last year, and as you all know, it is a never ending project. My cockpit is nowhere near as complex as most of you have, but I do have a functioning basic overhead and glareshield. It has really enhanced my simming experience.
As time goes on, I am always upgrading and changing things. Maybe one day I will be satisfied with it and get around to painting it. I have learned a lot from all of you over on the other place, and I am happy to be here.

Welcome Bill..
Yeah, I guess you are only a stone throw from me.. Great to have you here.
Best regards,
Trev
Bill, glad you could join us! ;D
Hi Everyone,
Thank you so much for the welcome!
I've attached a pic of my fledgling cockpit. It's not very sophisticated, but I keep upgrading as I learn more. I really enjoy the building aspect.
Bill
Wow.. Fantastic Stuff Bill. You really have accomplished a ton there.
Great Job.
Hi Bill
Great stuff. I like the surround a lot. Ours (or more accurately, my father's) still has all this to go, which will make taking photos of it much easier as I won't have to keep manouvering myself into strange positions so as to avoid the picture including the block walls beyond. The immersion factor is first and foremost, of course ...
Dean.
Nothing to be ashamed of there Bill!! Nice work. I wish that was my cockpit right now..... Mine is in pieces, staked in the corner.
Thanks for the complements everyone!
Bill
