Just wanted to give praise to the folks at OCZ for their outstanding customer support. After submitting an RMA form for my defective (or presumed defective) 240 GB SSD drive, they responded almost immediately and issued an RMA with no questions beyond the ones I answered in the form. Incidentally, the drive I returned had been working for more than one year but it was still within their 2 year warranty.
I then shipped back the disk drive and they shipped a new replacement on the same day as they received my drive. I found that absolutely amazing as I expected them to spend time testing the drive I had returned before taking any other action.
So, congratulations to the OCZ customer service. I certainly would choose OCZ products in the future if I have a choice between similar products.

Great to hear it Mau. Hopefully the blood pressure dropped a bit and the new drive will continue without any issues.

Actually, blood pressure back to normal so far. I was able to restore a recent saved image of the drive so I'm back to where I was before the crash. Time will tell if the old drive was the real problem or not.
I was quite impressed also by the backup/restore function of Windows 7. It worked flawlessly. Now, I have to decide whether I venture into P3D territory or not.
Since I know the restore function worked, I could wipe the drive and start from scratch with Windows 7 & P3D only, or try to install P3D in current setup which means FSX & P3D on same system just to test P3D. So many options...so few years left in my life ;D
