Title: Trimwheel Motorized Video
Post by: firstinflight on May 26, 2012, 08:49:12 PM
After putting it off for quite some time now, I finally have the trim wheel motorized and calibrated. Works really well.

The link to the video is on my blog, if you are interested.

Getting that nice TQ replica from you helped. My home built served its purpose, but it would have taken me a lot longer to get some things working.

Had to dismantle the unit though. The center axle was touching the metal bush inside and constantly squeaking or getting stuck.

It really feels nice to have wheels move. It took sometime to calibrate the velocity. It was either too fast or too slow, too much movement or too little. I think it's close now.
