Title: SimA/QuickMap
Post by: jackpilot on July 06, 2012, 06:50:07 AM
One program I like in PM is QuickMap.
I have it on the lower DU and it helps a lot.
Zoomed in max you can see taxiways and parking spots. Zoomed out for flight it displays all navaids with freq. ILS beams, TCAS traffic coast lines  etc etc
See pic below.
Now as I migrate to SimA I intend to keep QM on a networked PC....doable???
QM has its own Nav data so it should work?

Next question:
QM commands have offsets and params, can I use the sysboard for my QM buttons even if all other inputs are simA?

QM talks to FS PC via Wide client so no reason why it would not work.

Sysboard also uses offsets & parameters so I can't imagine why it would care where these are coming from (but this is just my semi educated guess :)

I agree with you Maurice, it should work just fine!

Happy with your answers as it is a very nice addition to the ND and a good way to use the lower DU
