Found this today while looking for Multi Monitor setup tips on the P3D Message board:
Right now the only way to configure the FOVs for the simulation windows is through multichannel - which requires additional computers. We are bringing the FOV configuration settings to the non-multichannel normal environment for v2.0 - so you'll be able to manually define the FOVs for your windows in the future and accomplish what you seek to do once v2 comes out. And before you ask, I apologize, we can't comment on when v2.0 will be released
Thanks for your support of Prepar3D!

Huh!! Very strange since I was able to do that in my earlier testing of P3D and others have as well. I must be misunderstanding what he is saying.

Leads me to think they are coming out with a GUI tool versus configuring the .FLT file.
iRacing has one for their sim and multi monitor. You input you distance from screen, monitor angle off center monitor and bezel size and it then calculates your settings to a realistic FOV from your head position, displays it and corrects the file to match. Pretty easy to use.
I'm glad they picked up the ball Microsoft discarded. I wonder if they employed the Aces team members. Thanks for posting.
Yes the majority of the aces team now work for LM
