Hi all,
If anyone gets an email message from Scott, don't go to the website it links to, It's a virus. I've informed Scott it looks like his mail has been hacked. >:(
Joe.
Yeah, seems like I clicked on a link this morning (only two that I can think of...one was here at CB related to the ebay cockpit sale and the other was a youtube drumming video link my brother sent me last night). This was from my Ipad. It sent a spam out to everyone in my cached list on my ipad which was only about 20 recipients but that said, everyone who knows anything about computers knows that these things happen all the time and spammers and hackers are very resourceful. You should always look at any email with a link as being suspicious before you open it even if from someone you know. In this case there was no subject and no explanation for the link. So pretty obvious it wasnt from me and hopefully nobody opens it here that should probably no better.
Scott
I tweeted the link out and also aded it to my Christmas messages as a tag line ;)
I don't believe the link that was sent in the e-mail was a virus but rather a scam to get you to sign up for an 'easy way' to make extra money part time and working from home. As long as you did not sign up, you should be 'safe'. This scam is listed as a known scam by the way.
I could be wrong though so if anybody got an e-mail from me with the same link, I was definitely wrong :)
