Does anyone have a solution that doesn't break the bank and load a ton of other unnecessary stuff for me to have an external view (Top down and/or Spot) on one of my remote PCs that I use to run my instructor station?
I am finding it harder and harder to use slew to move my AC to a specific point now that my sim is in a shell, and I'm running three projectors for outside view. It wouldn't be a big deal if FSX's parking and ramp positions corresponded with the real airports and charts.
For instance if I want to move my plane to a specific place at an airport I have to guess what parking it is in FSX or taxi it there. Or, I have to open a topdown view in my projected outside view and contort myself to see it all through the windows while I move the plane.
My simmate uses - I believe - Flightsim Commander for this.
You can get an airport top down view from that like a Jepp Chart and see in real time where you slew your a/c.

Thanks Bjorn,
I've been waiting and waiting to jump from Topcat to PFPX, but I may just bite the bullet and go for Flightsim Commander now.
Incidentally, I tried to find the brightek printer drivers on your site and couldn't. Do you still have them?
Warren
Hi Warren,
The Brightek drivers were deleted as I could not get them to work.
My Brightek ACARS printer has a Centronics Parallell (LPT) interface and I use a use Citizen driver.
I still have the Brightek drivers on file - just send me an email to bjorn /at/ boeing737sim.se and I will email them to you.
TopCat and PFPX are not addressing the same areas.
TopCat is a fuel, load and take off/landing data analyze program - PFPX will be a full feathered dispatch program.
So, both are "needed" for our more serious operations ;D ;D
PFPX will eventually, but after its initial release get ACARS capabilities. (Hoppies)
Best,
Bjorn
