Just wondering what everyone uses for sond and comes in the cockpit?

I don't have an FO yoke yet, so currently using a Telex 750 aviation headset, plugged into a aviation to USB converter box.  I assign TS and VATSiM COMMs to the headset, then let the aircraft sounds come thou the speakers in my overhead area.

In thinking through the FO side, I was going to grab another telex as I have a second converter box just laying around, however VATSIM isn't going to let me assign sounds and mic to both boxes at once, so.....  Next thought was to sell that box and get a 2 place aircraft intercom, plug both the telex into the intercom, then the intercom in the converter to USB. That way the CPT and FO can talk via the intercom as well as both using the VATSIM and TS through the same input / output...


What's everyone else using?

I've used my DC's in the past but they're too clunky for an airliner cockpit. I was using headset/mic from Logitec that served me well. I didn't hear very good reviews on the headset converters. Most said sound level and quality was seriously degraded.

Probably an impedance matching problem.

As an old SF Communications Sergeant I use one of these: [ebay]150988368971[/ebay].  Unfortunately, no matter what I send, all I ever receive are random three letter groups.

Seriously though, I use a Telex 750 t00, with a flightsoundX.  My new MB has a two seperate channels though, so I'm hoping to use that.  I'm also hoping to use the pinouts Jack provided to try and integrate real Audio Panels.

Hi John, we use THESE  (http://www.ruscool.co.nz/control_boards.html#intercom)units from Ruscool in NZ.  You need one per station but they're compatible with all sorts of headsets and built especially for flightsim usage.  I can highly recommend them.
