Title: B737 interphone to be used as a real phone ?
Post by: Nick1150 on April 17, 2013, 09:38:26 PM
Hi to all,

I have a telephone line (internal telephone line) installed and waiting in my pedestal box.

I would like a Boeing 737 interphone replica to be used as a phone with the dial buttons on the interphone preferably.

I know I ask too much but I am sure someone in here has came across this one in the past.

Thanks,

My2ยข
1) the cockpit is one of the last place in the world where we can play at will without being bothered by incessant phone calls.
2) The dial buttons are next to impossible to install on a real telex handset
but if the phone is used to answer (emergency  :D  calls only) you do not need the dial buttons

3) just buy a 15$ corded telephone of the right color with the dial pad in the handset . The later Boeing have that type (777) on the pedestal

#3 is what I'm using and it works like dream, it actually got me out of an emergency once, is good to have a phone line in the cockpit.

Hi to all,

Yes i do have a telephone line on my cockpit, which is actually an internal line from a panasonic telephone center I have installed in my home. To be honest I like relaxing in there, but having two kids, one dog, one wife gets me out of the cockpit often, so a phone inside the cockpit saves the day almost in every flight, like for instance " Daaaaaaadddddd my sister does not give me the ipad, she is in youtube watching Gangam style video clips"  ;D

So the phone makes a real difference. So I was thinking that maybe someone from here has found a phone, similar in to the boeing style interphone, that could do the trick....

I may go to solution #2 then...
