Maybe this is old news for some of you but just saw this new app while browsing the XPlane website. Anyone flying real planes should definitely investigate this and it would be a useful add-on for XPlane as well.
Anyway, watch the video; it's pretty amazing stuff.

And why not? I never said XPlane was not a possibility, only that I would not convert my 737 sim to XPlane. But with a simpler generic setup, XP is definitely a very likely contender, especially after seeing the night effects at Scott's place ;) . Also, I'm sure the flight dynamics are much more realistic and it would be nice to see a plane react the way it is supposed to :)

Maurice,
Yes as an avid user of Xplane 10 it is an excellent platform and also in my experience lends itself extremely well to a smaller airplane (regional airliner, twinprop or GA etc) probably better than it does to larger airliners. The D-box platform in a small GA sim with xplane 10 is very close to the real thing.
Im back using p3d in my 737 setup but the desktop sim is all xp10 now and il still fire up xp10 in the 737 sim at night as I love those city approaches at night!
best of luck with the new build and hopefully the 737 goes soon.
