Just wondering if there is a way to synchronize the exact Lat / Long coordinates with FSX and whatever Flight Model I am using?
The reason for asking is that I am noticing a slight variation (even with proper IRS Alignment) between what FSX is showing and what the CDU is indicating for GPS Position. This is noticed when flying straight-line on any particular Route segment.
What might be considered "allowable error" for GPS coordinates between FSX and the aircraft's FMC?

Isn't that like the Alien state and the most concentrated place for UFOs on the planet? Maybe that has something to do with it. :huh:

If you are talking about magnetic declination, then my good friend Iain Williams has a brilliant post on his blog about it.
He gives an incredible in-depth explanation on the why's and wherefores and also a download link to rectify it.
Iain's site is one of the best repositories of magic information for simulator aviators. It's a credit to him, really.

I didn't begin to notice this issue until I started to fly on PilotEdge, where the Controllers are meticulous about proper procedure, which includes staying "on-course". Although I have the current Navigraph database (up to 21Aug13), IRS correctly aligned, and my ND showing an accurate track of the Route segments - the FMC was clearly out of sync with FSX. That's why I started to look at the Lat/Long variation differences. Hopefully this will work.

Actually it is not my program. I only documented the problem and outlined the procedure to rectify the issue using the program developed by Herve Sors.
