Title: 737 grab Handles
Post by: glooker on May 03, 2014, 09:31:46 PM
My cockpit build is mainly based on purchasing second hand flight sim parts, old parts and modifying and building from scratch.  I have constantly reviewed the posts from other builders and their suggestions have been very helpful.  I hope this suggestion helps other members on a budget.

An item I have been looking to include into my cockpit is the grab handle on the cockpit window.  I have found an item in the local hardware shop that fits the bill.  I am attaching a couple pictures of the item.  One in its packaging and in situ in my cockpit.
I hope this helps another builder how is looking to add his capability but cannot get the real thing.

I wouldn't want to tell you how much I paid for my grab handles, only to get a set thrown in, when I bought a shell and liner set from a "great bloke" (hehe) in Bendigo, Victoria.

All jokes aside tho, this url was posted on the forum here a while back, when this same subject came up:

12 Euro's is pretty good, I'd say........

These are all the same item from a company named MENTOR.  You can see the difference in pricing.

Oops.  Frank posted as I was.

he is spot on.  The Mentor handles are available all over and MUCH cheaper.

Key point...  they come in 100mm and 120mm length.  The 120 fit my shell perfectly
