Trying to wire up my TQ and the STAB TRIM and AUTO PILOT switches use some kind of "IWTS" connector that looks like they lock once inserted.
Can't find much of anything on these types of terminals other than the patent.
So just wondering if anybody knows how to release the lead from the switch? Obviously there is probably some overpriced tool to do it, but I'm looking for a hack!

Don't have access to the TQ right now, but this is a toggle with the same terminals on the back.

Don't think there is an easy way to get the leads out, as they lock in (hence their being rated for aerospace).
These use Honeywell's Integrated Wire Termination System (IWTS).
You can release the wires with an insert/extract tool, which are readily available.
You will need to find the datasheet for your particular switch using the model number printed on it, from that you can get the MIL Spec number for the contacts used.
Then you can find the tool to suit from places like Farnell

They are only a few dollars for the plastic tools
I think i have a pair of tools and 2 toggle switches, but not sure its the same you are looking for.

I can sell one plastic tool and these switches as i wont be using them. But if your interested in just the tool, than i would check farnell first, as i have to ship from europe.

Look like mini lawn darts! Yeah I think that is the tool I need.
Actually I ended up cutting the cannon plugs off anyhow (wanted to keep it stock, but when I saw the price of the mating cannon plugs I said forget it). May re-wire the switches in the future though.
Is there a P/N on the tool you can pass along?

Yeah it kind of hurt to cut into the wiring... first cut is the deepest.
But now that I see how more spacious the inside of the TQ is to work with without the cannon plugs, no regrest.
