Hi all!
Perhaps you know my HP, and found that I'm working on my genuine TQ.
Luckily my TQ includes the motor, gear box etc. for the autothrottle. The motor has 24 pins to connect. Now I'm looking for details like voltage, pinout etc. Below there's a picture of the motor unit.
Anyone who can help?
As far as I know, Simulator Solutions are now working on a new SimStack board with interfacing capabilities to the ARINC 429 bus standard. Hopefully at the end I'm able to drive my thrust levers via PSX.

quite a task you have there with using real TQ my two cents the issue is not the pinpouts but the motor if I recall correctly its a AC motor there is a chap on this forum that has a real TQ converted to DC power how he lined up the motor to fit is beyond me :-) cool project all the same
Well, lot of work has been done so far! More infos on my HP soon.
The motorization is a "nice to have" for me. But as everything is included, I would try my best to make it working with PSX.

Its not me that requires the technical info but hans..what he needs is the relevant pages from the WDM although me thinks it might be whole lot easier to convert the motor directly as its only one motor to DC power using the existing mounting plate ! and he would still not loose any of the functions he is wanting.. because the TQ is directly control by PSX and those are native to PSX just a Bondar card if he so chooses or FDS may have a solution as well ( I think it depends on how much GUTS he has from below the floor related to the TQ) .. this way I am putting forward is painless but the its not my project :-).. In some ways this is a can or worms just wanting to pop out..correct me if I am wrong but is not the Auto TQ controlled by the FMC and then you need a matched set.. should this be the case the AC power is required and using the AC motor with the FMC makes sence if not then 1x dc power and x4 pots directly to PSX usig this sort of set up with pots

well, using another motor came into my mind as well. Best - if possible - would be the original one. It is mounted perfectly. Another motor needs some work to fit to the existing gearbox.
My TQ and all parts included are visible in enclosed pic. Below my sim is enough space, but I do not have the resolver assy.
Well, I will find a solution for this challange as well :)

I would suggest asking keeping the mounting plate the purple thing and locating a motor with a central shaft :-))) then going machine shop and have them make an adapter to fit .. way faster way cheaper ad way easier question now is how any rpm for the motor ;-) .. I am not telling you how to suck eggs but its ( i think) an ac motor with the TQ this means you will need a 400hz converter and those are big bucks if going that route ac power you may as well go real all the way
or best would be this get hold of tom at UAM and ask him for the connector with tail problem solved :-)))

Well, I had lot of private issues .. first dad, later mom become very ill and finally passed away, and huge workload in business as well.
Project777 became B747-400.net. Now working on my 747-400 TQ, later the year will place my order with FDS!

Hi all,
I have done this A/T conversion on the real 747 nose section sim here in Perth. I dismantled the real Boeing A/T motor to get the drive shaft out of it, then I machined the splined axle to fit into an adapter sleeve on a 12VDC geared motor supplied by the owner. Then it was just a matter of making up a housing adapter plate/flange which was made from 12mm PVC sheet I think, it was a couple of years ago since I did it. I'll ask the owner if he has a picture of my conversion. His auto throttles are working with PSX.

I simply removed the Boeing transducer and mounted a pot inside the mechanism. My next HP update will show the steps and the result with some step by step pictures.
I went this way, because I do not have the pinouts, and the conversion was very easy as well!

I was just wondering if anyone has some drawings of the parts for the TQ with dimensions?
I am building my own from scratch (due to unemployment I have to build what I can when I can at present)...
I am also looking at motorising it for use with PSX and will use O/C cards to interface using Nico's great PSXseecon software...
