Title: ACARS printer
Post by: Aerosim Solutions on May 18, 2015, 06:49:56 PM
Hi all,
I've just installed my ACARS printer, it's a Brightek WH-E19 sourced from Alibaba, (much cheaper than Aviation Megastore). It's just physically installed and not hooked up yet, more soon when I get it going! I will also add the 6mm installation panel to my products list soon. I am going to make another panel which will sink the printer and make it a flush mount. These will be available painted in Boeing grey RAL7011 and standard width 144.5mm. I will also paint the printer in Boeing grey!

Hey Gwyn,
sign me up for the first one you have ready for sale.

I knew you would have one of these ready about 2 weeks after you got Prosim Utils installed and running  (I have been waiting for you!! :)

Cheers,

Here is the improved installation! I carefully masked up the printer to protect it's internals and the sprayed it with etching primer after a clean with methylated spirits. Two coats of RAL7011 spray paint and then I made a custom painted panel to suit the pedestal and it becomes a Boeing printer. Very pleased with the result and can't wait to see it in action! The custom panel and printer will be added to my website today.

Yes, it is a USB printer and there are a pair of wires to connect to a DC power source.
