Title: Simkits and Prosim
Post by: mswift on July 25, 2015, 08:53:52 AM
Can anyone advise if the Simkits USB Standby Gauges will work with Prosim?
Attached (hopefully) is a photo of my 737 MIP so far.

Depending on the level of realism you are seeking, the Simkits standby gauges are not anything like the real standby gauges.  You would be much better off purchasing the Flight Illusion set of gauges.  I have them working nearly complete with Prosim.  The RMI gauge still needs additional interface development by Prosim before you can use the VOR/ADF function and error flags.

Or you can use Simworld gauges, much easier to install and setup.

I would be most interested in seeing what Simworld has to offer, but when you go to their web page you provided, they only show overhead panel gauges, not standby gauges.  Can you provide a link to the standby gauges?
Thanks

Simworld don't do the 3 standby gauges.  The ISFD is available, but not advertised as it is usually only sold as part of their plug & Play MIP.
You can always contact Filip at Simworld and ask what he can provide.

Most people seem to use the Flight Illusion gear.

Sam , I asked the new guy Piotr and he told me twice that they only sell the faceplate but no standby instruments at all. Fillip is not facing the customers anymore since he has now a sales manager. (or probably it is only me)

Any alternative sourcing?

Cheers

Happy New year to everyone:

Not meaning to hijack the thread, but since we're talking gauges here, I have one question. Has anyone used Flight Illusion's small generic gauge to implement the pressurization valve indicator. They don't seem to have a dedicated one ( Simworld does ).

I would tend to agree with Sam. if starting from scratch, I would choose the Simworld ones.

These tiny one inch generic gauges appear on EBay and go for peanuts
Real stuff and Easy to interface. I think Nick here  has a few.

Get 3 of them + white cap toggles and korrys for less than a hundred
