Hi,
Does anyone know what white color + gloss (RAL or ACC) is used to paint the B737 sidewalls?
Hi Clement,
I've heard a couple different RAL colors mentioned but don't know which is actually correct.
The white is actually a very light grey color but looks white next to the RAL 7011 (so I'm told)
Here are the most often quoted RAL color codes I've heard:
RAL 7035. (Actually a very pale grey and my personal choice)
RAL 9003. (More of a white, maybe too white)
As for the gloss.....you got me! I would imagine more of a satin?
There's a starting point for you, hope it helps.
Craig
As I've been in many OEM NG cockpits, these parts are not gloss at all.. as Caflyt mentioned, definitely more of a satin finish and leaning more towards matte at that.
Guys,
Thanks for the tips !
RAL 7047 is the closest match for the sidewalls.
The actual OEM color is a Federal Standard 595 color, but most paint shops will look at you with a blank stare if you ask them for it (especially outside the USA)
If you are spraying this, you can have them add a flatting agent to it as well. a 70% flat is pretty much identical to the real deal.
