My wife and I recently returned from a trip abroad. On the homeward bound leg we were on a flight from Doha, Qatar to KIAD on Qatar Airlines. The moving map display on Qatar must have been engineered by a flight simmer enamored with FSX....there is a cockpit view, a gauges view, an out-the-window view, and a PFD heads-up display that look like they are right out of FSX! So who now is simulating who?
In any event it was interesting to follow the Boeing 777's performance characteristics on the PFD heads-up display during the flight.

First time I've seen the HUD and indicators... then again, I try to avoid the map... it's like watching the clock!
Airspeed 922km/h(498kts) LOL ::)
You would think an aircraft as advanced as the 777 would use something better than a Vacuum Gyro...lol ;D ;D
Nice catch Mick!
Thats awesome though really! If you think about it.. Pretty Neat, thanks for sharing Fred.
