You don't want to use that Jack.. Nasty stuff... VERY bad for your health. Someone had got a place like Lowes or one of them to mix some paint that was that color... Much better way to go.... Anyone know the formula or have a real piece they could get scanned?

Thanks Bob for the warning.
I was more into  replicating the color.
But it has to go on Aluminum (and stay on it!!)

I use Dupli-Color etching primer for aluminum. Same green color used by the industry, and it stays on!

The apple green is a good substitute. Available at Home Depot and sometimes Lowes if you are in the USA.

What i do is use a normal 2K acid etch primer, usually in grey then applhy a second coat using some sort of green colour, cant help you chaps in the US but in the uk Halfords Rover Applejack is spot on :)

Obviously its Matt in finish but dont worry, using an gloss aerosol spray at a distance of over 16 inches away, do what i call a dry coat, the paint is almost dry when it lands. i do it on some of my stuff and its bomb proof :)

Glad you found some. It sands nicely too without a lot of clogging.

Mike, what type of paint did you use over it?
I will leave the inside of the TQ in green primer but I have to paint the box outside in grey.

I've used Krylon Rust-Tuff in Battleship Gray, and when I couldn't find that anymore, I switched to Duplicolor New Ford Gray ceramic engine paint.

Both good paints and adhere very well.
