Title: For the 737CL Fans - Hybrid N1 Indicator interfaced to P3D
Post by: quid246 on July 30, 2016, 09:19:29 PM
I thought I would give a spin at trying to make these function before putting them up on eBay...  had to generate a sinewave that varies in frequency (25.875 Hz per 1% of N1).  Might have worked with square waves, but I prefer the more "authentic" route and generated some nice sines with a DDS chip.

Both indicators are actually synced to one engine, I was too lazy to setup another DDS to generate the other engine.

Sound is a little low, so crank it if you want to hear it (NGX engine sounds):

Those are Awesome!!

Where did you get those? Kinda puts my 737 Engine Gauge Weather Thermometer project to shame!

Thanks.  Got these from a friend who works for a very large parts company... I have a complete "stack" of hybrids, N1, N2, FF and EGT.  N2 runs the same, EGT is voltage based and not sure about FF.

While it had me considering a 737CL project... given that I still need to start working on my NG project, better to focus!

Wish I had the funds  :(

Ray, the same signal you and I use on the gauges we have would run these.
