Hello,

my Citation Mustang shell is finished. Now I have to finish the inside walls. The shell itself is made of 3mm MDF and joined with plastic stripes and 4mm screws (see attached pic).

My idea is to glue 10mm styro sheets to cover the stripes and nuts and get a smother surface. The styro will be covered with self adhesive foils with a "lether like" design.

There are also smaller parts like the connection of the switch panel to the left and right armrest. These will be styrodur carved in the right form and then also covered with the design foil.

There are 2 questions:
- gluing styro to MDF?
- does the self adhesive foil stick on styropor?

Is this the way to do it or does anybody have other/better ideas?

Most adhesives will eat up the styrofoam. You will need something like this:

thanks! I found a special Stryroglue, similar to the Loctite, but its in a pot and therefore better for bigger areas to apply.

Still asking if this method (styro + selfadhesive foil) is commonly used or there are better solutions?
