Hello dear simmers,
I would be happy to have some return of experience on the USB to VGA adapter (resolution, refresh rate). I would like to use this kind of adapter for my CDU screen and save a VGA output on my second graphic card for an additonal external view.
Thank you for your help
Happy landings

Hi Bourel,
I have used cheap USB to VGA adapters bought off eBay to drive both my FDS CDUs and have had no trouble whatsoever. They have been in service for about 4 years now.
I have had no issues with refresh rate or resolution. I would, however, recommend that you don't drive them through a hub, but from their own dedicated USB cables running back to the PC.

I fully agree with Karl.
I use these for CDU displays, and i was using them for the clock LCD screens but have moved on to real clocks.
As long as you are not trying to run high res or video on them they should be fine.
Karl - you mentioned not to run them through a hub. I do that now for my two FDS CDUs. Why did you make the comment? I will change if you think it will make a difference.
Thanks,
Jim
Initially I tried to run through a hub, but found windows would not pick up one of the cdu screens from time-to-time. Ran dedicated cables, problem fixed.
