Title: Bus bar
Post by: jackpilot on January 09, 2017, 09:48:15 AM
Hi Guys

Looking for some kind of Bus bar to distribute power (5V and 12V) like that:
(https://www.cockpitbuilders.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimagizer.imageshack.us%2Fv2%2F640x480q90%2F921%2F5MSNZv.jpg&hash=afce180c48d1988930a654e62f6a2d9ab814649f)

I found some but the wiring  (20GA) seems flimsy.

Jack

Jack I use these... and have lots..

I use one for 12V, One for Gnd and one for 5v.  I insert jumpers in the back and wire in the front.

Let me know if you want some.

Yep I know these (european)
I am trying to avoid the jumper trick and have each row  fed by one input.

Yes Dave, these flourish on EBay going from $9 to $70 for the same product.
Not sure they can handle many Amps ?

LOL, Paying for someone to install the Jumpers for you under the back cover...

How about this...  You pay me $15.00 for each bar I send you and I will Install the 18AWG Jumpers in it for you ha ha ha ha Just kidding,  they do look very cheap though, and I am sure that isn't even 20AWG wire,  I am thinking 24Awg if your lucky

Hi Jack, here's what I've got:
(https://www.cockpitbuilders.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fv296%2Fm_disco%2FgalleryContent-796431967.jpg&hash=8cee27c460c2c76e0fb355e4f9d70700c292e6f9) (http://smg.photobucket.com/user/m_disco/media/galleryContent-796431967.jpg.html)

Entrelec M4/6-5116
UL Ratings: 10-16 AWG wire, 600V 25A

I have:

I can break them down into 10 or 20 position blocks depending on what you need.
I've also got a few DIN rails to mount them too.

EDIT:
Just re-read your first post. These are just higher current bus bars. They are separated in blocks, not one side from the other. May not be what your looking for.

Jack,

I've begun to use these, and then I am able to also fuse my circuits.  They gone up $4 in price since I last bought one, but they are great!

They look like single circuit to me Jack. Same as the blocks I posted.

It takes 12V in at the end, and a ground to the grounding post and puts out 14 individual fused 12V feeds.  It uses ATC/ATO blade automotive fuses.

And I bought two of these:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/DC32V-10Way-Car-Boat-Automotive-Blade-Auto-Box-Fuse-Block-Holder-ATC-ATO/191974945092 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/DC32V-10Way-Car-Boat-Automotive-Blade-Auto-Box-Fuse-Block-Holder-ATC-ATO/191974945092)

They also have LEDS indicating faulty circuit.

This is what I use to distribute both AC and DC voltages. DIN rail terminal blocks (https://goo.gl/jsMcsV).
Yes they require a jumper between each block, but you can buy a continuous jumper that can be cut.

They also come fused if you need to protect a circuit.

This site, in the US, has some fairly good pricing. http://www.elecdirect.com/terminal-blocks (http://www.elecdirect.com/terminal-blocks)
