I have searched but cant find it.
What are the amp draw of korry 318?
Could measure it with my multimeter but i put all the stuff away...
Looking at approx 80-100mA per annunciator
The 387 bulbs used are rated at 40mA but that can vary slightly on bulb age and other factors.
Question? Why are you bother using 318's when all of our Korry's have been upgraded to LED's? :o

So you think its worth buying the new front-led parts just to keep the ampdraw down?
Powersupplys are cheap, korrys are not.

Are you sure that all Korry's use LEDs? I have an NG landing gear panel, and it doesn't indicate that LED's are used.
The LED replacements are very expensive from what I have seen.
Not really expensive in the long run. They have multiple times the lifetime of normal bulbs, and can save big bucks.
and won't burn xpur fingertips
Where can you order? What is the price?
Look up 387 LED's, that is the LED counterpart of the bulbs used on the 737
Hm... i am tempted... my next goal with the simulator would be to see what can be done about power consumption...
The cheapest i could find was about 5$ each.
2*150 korrys * 5 = 1500$
Little steep just for optimizing. A new 24v/3amp power supply is about 50$...
And it is like Rob says, how often except lightest are all lighten up.
But still... when something better is out there...
@Kurt-Olsson,
Covert your current Korry switch lights to LED's.
I have a number of pushbutton and regular annunciators that I successfully converted using 3mm LED lamps.
If you remove the pushbutton from the holder, and then pull out the existing bulbs, you will find that 3mm led's will fit into the holes perfectly.
What I did was solder the two LED together in series, leaving each (a) anode and (k) anode end long enough to make contacts inside the switch. (This takes some trial and error). The leads are more than strong enough to push back against the internal springs for on/off operation. You will also find that the internal switch spring plungers have a hex shape to them, so this aids in keeping the led leads in place.
I have sketched out a pic for your review...

Also, I should add that if you are using superbright led's, you will need to diffuse the light somehow as it will be too concentrated when illuminated inside the korry or annunciator.
By using some thin white cloth like material, (i use white thin felt),you can push it down inside the hole prior to inserting the lamp, this will diffuse the led light and give you a nice soft illuminated legend.
Thanks Jim, i think i will try this if i get an extra korry laying around. Would be really cheap and cool to get this to work. :)
