Hi Jack,

I had exactly this task to do for my B747-400 OVHD panels.

Used simply some warm water, a bit of normal soap, a toothbrush and a kitchen roll.

I guess the result says all:   (and yes, it IS the same panel)  8)

I did that for about 30 panels, no damages at all!

More pics on my HP late February / early March!

Cheers
Hans

Dawn dish washing liquid works good.  Dawn is also good to wash parts prior to painting ...removes grease and oils.

Hey Jack, I use Servisol Antistatic Foam Cleanser 400ml which is brilliant on keyboards, monitors and grubby panels.

We get it over here from Maplin but I don't know about Canada.

Joe.

cleaning faceplates without eating into the paint it took me a couple of do overs to find the correct product after using a damp cloth etc etc.. anyways .... I discovered Oregon natural cleaner it has to be diluted 30_1 but leaves them all nice and and new and leaves no residual  :2cw:

The only time when panels are same shade is on delivery of a new aircraft (and even then !)   :D
