Hi.

I bought a cabin climb oem gauge that i want to retrofit a servo in.
I can unscrew the glasstop from it. But i cant get the components out of the housing.

Is there anything connected at the back?

Isn't there a way of just hooking it up with ARINC 429?

Actually dont think so. This is just connected to a preassure hose. No electronics at all. (I might be wrong on this one)

Does anyone know where the backlight goes? I accidentaly removed the cables without documenting the position...

Hm... the needle is very sensitive. Wonder if there even is a servo that can operate this precise.

We are talking full deflection of a movement on 5mm...

Take out the bellows & linkages, and move the centre shaft directly with the servo, you can fit one inside the frame.

Your gauge must be quite an old one, its different to mine, my backlight wiring goes to a small board on the back of the gauge face.

Nope.  In fact the only things in the whole NG overhead that run on ARINC429 are the pressurization panel & IRS display panel.
This and the differential pressure gauge are completely mechanical apart from the backlighting.

Will take more pictures and post. Have a hard time understanding how i can remove more stuff.
