I'm rebuilding my pit after a long time without it. I've bought three 40" 4K TVs and while I don't envisage running them at 4K, what would you recommend in terms of video cards. Not specific models really, would you go with a single high powered card capable of supporting three monitors (TVs), or two Video less powerful cards in the same PC.
I prefer to run them on a single PC which will be dedicated to the simulator, likely to be P3D V 4.

why not use 1- TH2GO to supply the 3 monitors as your PC will see this as 1 hardware graphic output and it's the number of graphic outputs that kill FPS. You can get resolution of 3x 1920x1080 that is full HD on each monitor. There are different versions available for different graphic card outputs such as DVI or display port

Thanks for that... in fact I used to have a TH2Go (a digital version) but as my last card supported three monitors I sold it, assuming that it would be the better option.
That card (an AMD) also had bezel compensation which did make a difference to the overall display, particularly when banking.

Just to be naughty here, he asked for 4K resolution, that is 3840 x 2160.
TH2Go won't drive those at full resolution.

Bernard, do you mean 3 cards on 1 PC or 3 PCs? I don't know of many motherboards that will take 3 cards??? And what level of cards are you thinking of?

one video card per view (per window) my single visual pc has four 1080ti in it and it runs four seperate views
Here's some interesting points on 4K and flight sims.
FSX graphics were originally drawn at 1280x1024 pixels. Does showing these graphics on higher resolution monitors improve the image?
Putting these graphics on larger monitors tends to give a more blurry/pixellated image. Luckily some of the addon airports are certainly better resolution.
Most TV's don't have 4K inputs for a PC( needs displayport). With most TVs the best input you can get is HDMI 2.0 so you need to match the input of your TV to the output of whatever graphics card used to get the 4K. If you don't have this you will be stuck with full HD i.e 1920x1080 on each TV.
Is anyone running their sim view on 4K? If so what's the result?
Bernard S what sort of frame rates do you get? What software are you running on your view PC? 4 graphics cards must have a huge impact on the PC. The heat alone must keep your house warm in the winter!

Bernard, four 1080ti's must be awesome but it's a very expensive setup. It would cost for the cards alone (in the UK) over £3000.00, (roughly $4100.00 US). And as Geoff has mentioned would be pretty warm... 8)
I also imagine motherboards for four cards would be at a premium as well.
Geoff, I don't intend to run the TV's at 4K, I've tested one of them on my current PC and the resolution at HD is perfectly adequate for me. My eyesight is not that discerning. ;)
I will probably run them off HDMI or DVI connectors using I guess at least one converter cable; unless of course I get two lower spec cards. It will have to do until I can afford some higher spec kit.
