Title: MyCockpit.org hack issues
Post by: blueskydriver on October 20, 2017, 07:16:57 AM
Hey Everyone,

Members over on MyCockpit.org (MYC) are reporting possible hacks to that website and a majority of browsers are getting bounced back or anti-virus programs are showing alerts of suspicious activity.

So, if you use both sites like I do or you see some of my cross thread/links to there, just wait before you try them. I don't want too see anyone get hacked due to this.

Hopefully, this is just a hiccup for MYC and not a major crash of the website on the horizon...in the mean time, enjoy Cockpit Builders  :)

John

Unfortunately, they need to get a handle on the fake registrations, this is the Biggest issues.  I know here we get almost 20 new registrations every 24 hours and most of them are fake.  This is why we accept or deny member registrations manually.  It may take a little longer but it prevents 99% of the SPAM and Hacking attempts.

Yea, I just noticed issues with the site a couple of days ago. My browser was reporting it as an unsafe site. Unfortunate really. Hopefully they'll fix it soon. There is a lot of good info there.
