I am looking for 737-800 MIP aluminum backplates that my OEM korrys/switches and Gauges fit.
Some of the mips have 4 announciators on each side except the autobrake panel. Some only have two on each side. Is it the newer onec that have less korrys or is it /model?
I know for once that the yawdamper is removed from the newer NGs.
And, if anyone have bought metalbackplats that fit OEM, let me know what brand. (If not custom)

The older NG's have 2 annunciators on each side. The newer ones have the 4 on each side (with the extra "TAKEOFF CONFIG" and "CABIN ALTITUDE" annunciators.) Actually it's not about older or newer - it was a service bulletin that mandated all NG's to be fitted with the additional annunciators.
Yes you are correct, newer NG's don't have the yaw damper gauge.
As for backing plates that fit real Korry's - from what I've heard - Simworld fits pretty well. FDS fits well it seems - have a look:

Thanks Youssef! Nice to know the history of the MIP.
I will use the "older" MIP. Not as much to wire and i can have some korrys as backup.
Looks like i will try to find CAD drawings and get a local company to cut. Most vendors have alot i dont need in their MIP packages, and some cannot garantee that the OEM stuff will fit.
Some of the MIP indicators are options, there are no hard rules about what is fitted
the MEL of the -800 say one Takeoff Config and one Cabin Alt indicator. Some airlines have two of each. some just the one of each.
Other MIP indicators that are options are Brake Temp, Flap load relief, Icing, No Ice, etc.
Thanks mickc! My plan is "superslim"!
Cut everything out that i dont need, OEM or not. I know some airlines removes the alt intervine and speed intervine on the mcp, so thats what i am doing aswell. Same with these korrys, i will replicate the pne with the least. The new MIP dont have yaw damper, so i dont have to interface that aswell.

You don't really have a choice when it comes to the MCP - unless you're going to build one yourself. Plus that ALT INTV and SPD INTV switches come in handy when VNAV messes up ;)
