Hi Guys,
I am 3d printing some panels and the text will be a 3D print. I have to paint the panel but need to keep these letters white so need to cover them. They are to small to mask with
tape. Thought is there any method like coating the face with something that will resist the paint and can be wiped off after the paint is dry.Any ideas?

I've been trying all sorts recently , the best success I've had so far, is with sanding sealer , basically shellac dissolved in  methylated spirits (Denatured alcohol) , and then clean it up with methylated spirit.
I'm using 2mm PVC sheet spray painted with plasticote paint and lacquer.  I then paint  two or three layers of sanding sealer leaving about 10mins to dry between each layer to dry.  I then left it for about an hour before engraving.   Then filled in the letters wit acrylic paint , wiping off as much overspill as possible. before cleaning up with methylated spirit,

I've only done one board so far , as I only had the idea yesterday when I bumped into my bottle of sanding sealer when looking for something else, But the results were the most promising so far.
I then intend to spray a final coat of clear lacquer.

How about vaseline applied with a tiny fine paint brush on the text? Then, paint the panel and wipe vaseline/paint residue off when finished.  I used to paint RC planes like this...

This comes from another hobby of mine, WWII model building. When I need to mask detail i dont want to paint, I use a product made by Humbrol called Maskol or a generic name from a art supply store called "Liquid Frisket". It is a liquid latex suspended in an ammonia type liquid. When the solvent dries it leave a coat of latex on the masked area which can be rubbed off or pick off with tweezers.
